Baby Trend Sit N' Stand Stroller Review & #Giveaway!

I am so excited to bring you today’s review of the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand stroller.  I am positively in love with it.  When the opportunity was presented to us to review a stroller from Baby Trend, FTD declared we needed a Sit n’ Stand stroller.  I was not so sure since I use the hell out of our lightweight one.  Then FTD started talking about the features of a Sit N' Stand, Oliver’s needs and what kind of stroller would be the best long term for our family. I started to see things his way…

  • Ollie is growing up and getting restless in his stroller.  The Sit N stand allows him to have options,   and it makes it easier on us not having to get him in and out repeatedly on walks through the zoo or park.
  • In the event that we have a baby 2 (Don’t get any ideas just yet you all!)  The sit n stand is made for just that. We can put a newborn carrier in one section (Front or Back!!) until the baby is big enough to sit upright, while Ollie sits (or stands) in the other.
  • For traveling across the world, or just through the airport, the sit n stand holds our luggage.
  • The stroller is perfect for our family now and later.

FTD chose The Baby Trend Sit N' Stand® Ultra Stroller- Reseda Item #: SS66436.

Here is a short video overview of the  Baby Trend Sit N' Stand® Ultra Stroller.

Since FTD did the assembly and first stroll around the block with Oliver in the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand, I am going to turn it over to him for the bulk of our review....

FTD here Ladies and Gents! I thought I'd share a few points and facts about the assembly and features of this stroller and how it stacks up against the others we've used over the past 15 months or so.

I was a little bit worried when the box arrived as it was quite large.  I organised my tools, cracked open a sly beer and mentally prepared myself for hours of screwing, tightening and reading manuals in Chinese.  How wrong I was! This is easily the simplest and most basic assembly of a stroller EVER in the history of strollers!!!
See! only a couple of pieces* to assemble.
*Professor the cat not included.
The manual was very simple to understand.  I had a quick read (ie: looked at the pictures) and less than 10 minutes later was pushing it out the door.  I kid you not! Remove the plastic wrap, pop the wheels on, snap the trays and the shade on and YOU'RE DONE!  In fact I was stunned when I emptied the box and laid out the parts and realised that there was absolutely NO SMELL.  Usually there is some kind of sickly sweet plastic scent that takes a few days or weeks of use to disappear...Not with this Bad-Boy! I sniffed and snuffed and was left amazed.

EASY!

The wheels are super sturdy, the frame has a stylin' almost indestructible silver-grey paint, there's HEAPS of storage, the grips are the comfortable "non-sticky" type, the fabric is breathable and easily cleaned  BUT most importantly there are FIVE Cupholders! FIVE!

The upper two comfortably held my beer while I trudged about the busted, uneven pavement - daring the cans to topple. Yet they survived! That's a FIRST ladies and Gents!  The other two easily interchangeable holders were perfect for Ollie's snacks and a bottle of water and were equally sturdy! I LOVE this thing!

The handy streamlined "parent" tray held the old iPhone, wallet and keys and the kiddie tray has another drink holder and was cleverly designed to quick-release so you can get a kid in and out FAST!

Most Importantly...Ollie loves it too! He happily jumps into the "backseat" where he can watch me push him about or if he's sleepy, I just pop him in the front and let him recline and relax.  He can stand and eat his snacks in the back, the shade was easily adjustable to block sunlight and the whole thing is SAFE with buckles, straps and a five point harness too.

WELL DONE Baby Trend!  Finally...a future-proof, well designed, sturdy stroller that can hold my beer too.

April again...

My personal review of the stroller is that it is above and beyond what I expected!  I thought it was going to be too big and cumbersome to push.  Wrong!  I thought it was going to be too heavy for everyday use. Wrong. I have been able to go up and down curbs with ease. I have been able to go over bumps and through trails in the woods with ease. I have been so impressed with the maneuverability of this stroller that I don't even hesitate over broken sidewalks and walking it over the grassy areas in the park!

When it comes down to buying a stroller for your family I am a firm believer that no stroller should cost the same as a teeneager's first car. I don’t care if it pushes the kid for you while gently misting and fanning you on your walk.  Seriously it’s not necessary. Baby Trend has proven my point with this incredibly well made and priced stroller. (find it now for $129.99 on Amazon!)

I really cannot recommend the Baby Trend company enough.  They have a huge selection of products that all have incredible reviews across the Internet, and are priced very reasonably! I promise you, Baby Trend did not pay me to say any of this, and it is my honest and wholehearted opinion that Baby Trend makes great products at a great price, which is huge for new parents.

Want to buy a Sit N Stand Stroller now?  They range in price from $139.99-$189.99 Click Here to find the stroller that is right for your family! (Available online and in stores throughout the US and Canada.)

WAIT! There is more.... because the Baby Trend family is so awesome they are giving away, to one lucky reader, a Sit N' Stand® Ultra Stroller- Reseda Item #: SS66436.  Enter to win below!

Happy Mother’s Day from FTM&D and Baby Trend!!

I love every feature! This stroller will be perfect for my 8month old and my 4yr old!! All of the cup holders are too cool!

I've seen these around and would really like to get one because we have a 3 year old and a new baby and this will hold both and then we don't need 2 strollers.

I love being able to put the car seat in the front or back position!

I'm a huge baby trend fan! After months of searching while I was pregnant we decided on Baby Trend. We had the infant carriers and we still have the jogging stroller and we absolutely LOVE it!!!

This stroller looks so cool! I love the storage basket and that AJ would have two options as to how he would want to ride.

Jess said...

I love everything about this stroller! It has such a unique look, too. Awesome!

Alissa said...

I want this!!! With 2nd baby near here this would be such an awesome thing to have to push two kiddos around. I love how there is a standing feature and 5 cup holders... holy crap! We'd be staying well hydrated on our walks.

I've been looking and looking for something that would work now for my, and my sister's, toddler. This would definitely solve the "My Grandpa, Push Me" problem.

Sit N' Stand® Ultra Stroller- Elixer is my favorite! I want I want I want. You have no idea. I have been wanting one so bad I actually got a yard sale sit & stand, but I would absolutely LOVE to get this one, it's the one I wanted for my 2 little faeries.

I LOVE it!!! Too bad I can't honestly say I need another stroller, otherwise I'd be on this one in a heartbeat! It's a blessing- especially if you have more than one kid around!

I love that it can hold our safety 1st carseat! I had NO idea!

I have an infant and a 3 yr old. I love that it has a standing option for an older child in the back. My 3 yr old of course is capable of walking but for longer distances this would be great

First Time Dad said...

Hiya Carrie, thanks for the comments...Just wanna clarify for everyone that while it's not very heavy, It is not super lightweight either! Mom's may have some difficulty carrying it up a few flights of stairs with a toddler squirming under one arm.

First Time Dad said...

It's pretty awesome, I must admit! Every time Ollie and I go for a stroll we pretend that he's piloting an Imperial AT-AT walker from Star Wars and we're attacking the horrible little Rebel base on Hoth!

Here's a Wikipedia link for all you n00bs - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walker_%28Star_Wars%29

First Time Dad said...

They're very well designed cup holders too - the two up the top take large cups, the smaller one on the tray is perfect for a snack bowl, the other two interchangeable ones are quite deep! Clever!

First Time Dad said...

Good Luck with the raffle-copter Amanda! Just keep pumping those entries every day for more chances to win!

First Time Dad said...

This is a huge bonus BUT even better is the fact that it actually fits MOST other brands too! The Baby Trend people really thought this one out. I hate that with some strollers you are forced to buy THEIR brand of baby carrier too. This little puppy certainly saves you cash in the long run!

First Time Dad said...

Exactly! And it's fun for them too. If Ollie keeps growing the way that he is, I'm hoping that we can reverse roles and HE can push me about when I need a rest!

First Time Dad said...

Great point! The design is really well thought out. You can keep a watchful eye on baby in the back position or move him/her to the front when there's a poop in the pants!

First Time Dad said...

Good luck then in the raffle-copter Derek! Remember to keep voting every day for a greater chance to win it.

First Time Dad said...

That canopy is actually really great too! It's not 'fixed' like some strollers, so you can adjust it nearly 180 degrees and block the sun from the front or back. It's easy to remove as well. Bonus!

First Time Dad said...

Me too! I was surprised how much time it saves getting Ollie in and out! You just pop a tab on the side of the tray and it rotates out of the way for easy access. No more struggling to squeeze his legs and feet past the tray.

Katherine said...

love the Covered parent tray with 2-cup holders - because parents have to eat and drink too!

Kaila said...

I love the standing feature!

First Time Dad said...

Spot on! It's a sleek looking flat one too that has a nice SNAP lock and is the perfect width for an Iphone. The drink holders are the best I've used so far...they take the large water bottles and if you pop a beer koozie/coozi/cozy over a bottle or can then you have an awesome snug fit! Woo Hoo!

I love that the rear seat goes up to 50 pounds- my child will be 6 years old when baby sister arrives, but because of his Autism diagnosis and tendency to run off, we will need a stroller he can use as well for safety reason...many other similar strollers I've found only go up to 40 pounds...he's 38 pounds!!

This may sound weird but my fav things are the storage basket and the cup holders. I tend to travel w everything but the kitchen sink and I usually end up just pushing a stroller around in the store and trying to stuff everything into it rather than pulling a cart around - this would be awesome!

Melinda D. said...

My favorite thing is that the baby trend car seat I have locks into place. Also having a toddler and a newborn, It gives plenty of options for the two to ride.

Cyndi Yoder said...

Would be very nice to have with a 2 year old and 5 month old.

Unknown said...

I love that this can easily adapt to 2 children that are at different age ranges completely (like a baby in a car seat and a toddler) or 2 children at the same age (like 2 toddlers). It is so adaptable to almost any family set up and obviously their safety measure are great - 5 point harness is a MUST!

Unknown said...

I love how adaptable it is to a family that has children close in age (like 2 toddlers) or children with a larger age gap (a baby in a car seat and a toddler). I also LOVE all their safety measures, like the 5 point harness

Anonymous said...

I like it because it will hold 2 kids! My daughter-in-law would love it!

I love that I can go for a walk with all three of my children knowing that the youngest two are safely secured in the stroller, giving me peace of mind. I also love the versatility, allowing my curious 2 year old to sit or stand :)

I LOVE that it is perfect for a toddler/big kid AND a new baby. Baby #2 is due in Dec and my toddler will be 2.
