I am so excited to bring you today’s review of the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand stroller. I am positively in love with it. When the opportunity was presented to us to review a stroller from Baby Trend, FTD declared we needed a Sit n’ Stand stroller. I was not so sure since I use the hell out of our lightweight one. Then FTD started talking about the features of a Sit N' Stand, Oliver’s needs and what kind of stroller would be the best long term for our family. I started to see things his way…
- Ollie is growing up and getting restless in his stroller. The Sit N stand allows him to have options, and it makes it easier on us not having to get him in and out repeatedly on walks through the zoo or park.
- In the event that we have a baby 2 (Don’t get any ideas just yet you all!) The sit n stand is made for just that. We can put a newborn carrier in one section (Front or Back!!) until the baby is big enough to sit upright, while Ollie sits (or stands) in the other.
- For traveling across the world, or just through the airport, the sit n stand holds our luggage.
- The stroller is perfect for our family now and later.
Here is a short video overview of the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand® Ultra Stroller.
Since FTD did the assembly and first stroll around the block with Oliver in the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand, I am going to turn it over to him for the bulk of our review....
FTD here Ladies and Gents! I thought I'd share a few points and facts about the assembly and features of this stroller and how it stacks up against the others we've used over the past 15 months or so.
I was a little bit worried when the box arrived as it was quite large. I organised my tools, cracked open a sly beer and mentally prepared myself for hours of screwing, tightening and reading manuals in Chinese. How wrong I was! This is easily the simplest and most basic assembly of a stroller EVER in the history of strollers!!!

See! only a couple of pieces* to assemble. *Professor the cat not included. |

EASY! |
The wheels are super sturdy, the frame has a stylin' almost indestructible silver-grey paint, there's HEAPS of storage, the grips are the comfortable "non-sticky" type, the fabric is breathable and easily cleaned BUT most importantly there are FIVE Cupholders! FIVE!
The upper two comfortably held my beer while I trudged about the busted, uneven pavement - daring the cans to topple. Yet they survived! That's a FIRST ladies and Gents! The other two easily interchangeable holders were perfect for Ollie's snacks and a bottle of water and were equally sturdy! I LOVE this thing!
The handy streamlined "parent" tray held the old iPhone, wallet and keys and the kiddie tray has another drink holder and was cleverly designed to quick-release so you can get a kid in and out FAST!
Most Importantly...Ollie loves it too! He happily jumps into the "backseat" where he can watch me push him about or if he's sleepy, I just pop him in the front and let him recline and relax. He can stand and eat his snacks in the back, the shade was easily adjustable to block sunlight and the whole thing is SAFE with buckles, straps and a five point harness too.
WELL DONE Baby Trend! Finally...a future-proof, well designed, sturdy stroller that can hold my beer too.
April again...
My personal review of the stroller is that it is above and beyond what I expected! I thought it was going to be too big and cumbersome to push. Wrong! I thought it was going to be too heavy for everyday use. Wrong. I have been able to go up and down curbs with ease. I have been able to go over bumps and through trails in the woods with ease. I have been so impressed with the maneuverability of this stroller that I don't even hesitate over broken sidewalks and walking it over the grassy areas in the park!
When it comes down to buying a stroller for your family I am a firm believer that no stroller should cost the same as a teeneager's first car. I don’t care if it pushes the kid for you while gently misting and fanning you on your walk. Seriously it’s not necessary. Baby Trend has proven my point with this incredibly well made and priced stroller. (find it now for $129.99 on Amazon!)
I really cannot recommend the Baby Trend company enough. They have a huge selection of products that all have incredible reviews across the Internet, and are priced very reasonably! I promise you, Baby Trend did not pay me to say any of this, and it is my honest and wholehearted opinion that Baby Trend makes great products at a great price, which is huge for new parents.

Happy Mother’s Day from FTM&D and Baby Trend!!

I love every feature! This stroller will be perfect for my 8month old and my 4yr old!! All of the cup holders are too cool!
I've seen these around and would really like to get one because we have a 3 year old and a new baby and this will hold both and then we don't need 2 strollers.
I love being able to put the car seat in the front or back position!
I'm a huge baby trend fan! After months of searching while I was pregnant we decided on Baby Trend. We had the infant carriers and we still have the jogging stroller and we absolutely LOVE it!!!
This stroller looks so cool! I love the storage basket and that AJ would have two options as to how he would want to ride.
I love everything about this stroller! It has such a unique look, too. Awesome!
I want this!!! With 2nd baby near here this would be such an awesome thing to have to push two kiddos around. I love how there is a standing feature and 5 cup holders... holy crap! We'd be staying well hydrated on our walks.
I've been looking and looking for something that would work now for my, and my sister's, toddler. This would definitely solve the "My Grandpa, Push Me" problem.
Sit N' Stand® Ultra Stroller- Elixer is my favorite! I want I want I want. You have no idea. I have been wanting one so bad I actually got a yard sale sit & stand, but I would absolutely LOVE to get this one, it's the one I wanted for my 2 little faeries.
Such a cool stroller!
Having the extra cup holders, the basket space and gives a kiddo a versatile ride... sounds great!
I love that it has a removable canopy and that it fits a car seat.
I love the removable tray!

I love that this stroller does so much, and is still compact enough to fit in my car!
onecheaplady@yahoo.com
Looks great! Thanks for the review. I am glad it was easy to use and not very heavy. Extra cupholders are also a plus!
cswuensch (at) gmail dot com
Great blog, thanks for the review. I love that it was easy to put together and light. extra cupholders are also a plus!
One hand fold would be great for when you're trying to control two kids!
jodystar20(at)yahoo(dot)com
I love that it has a foot activated rear brake
I LOVE it!!! Too bad I can't honestly say I need another stroller, otherwise I'd be on this one in a heartbeat! It's a blessing- especially if you have more than one kid around!
I like the removable tray and removable cup holders
I like the foot activated rear brake and one hand fold.
I love that it can hold our safety 1st carseat! I had NO idea!
I have an infant and a 3 yr old. I love that it has a standing option for an older child in the back. My 3 yr old of course is capable of walking but for longer distances this would be great
Hiya Carrie, thanks for the comments...Just wanna clarify for everyone that while it's not very heavy, It is not super lightweight either! Mom's may have some difficulty carrying it up a few flights of stairs with a toddler squirming under one arm.
It's pretty awesome, I must admit! Every time Ollie and I go for a stroll we pretend that he's piloting an Imperial AT-AT walker from Star Wars and we're attacking the horrible little Rebel base on Hoth!
Here's a Wikipedia link for all you n00bs - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walker_%28Star_Wars%29
They're very well designed cup holders too - the two up the top take large cups, the smaller one on the tray is perfect for a snack bowl, the other two interchangeable ones are quite deep! Clever!
Good Luck with the raffle-copter Amanda! Just keep pumping those entries every day for more chances to win!
This is a huge bonus BUT even better is the fact that it actually fits MOST other brands too! The Baby Trend people really thought this one out. I hate that with some strollers you are forced to buy THEIR brand of baby carrier too. This little puppy certainly saves you cash in the long run!
Exactly! And it's fun for them too. If Ollie keeps growing the way that he is, I'm hoping that we can reverse roles and HE can push me about when I need a rest!
Great point! The design is really well thought out. You can keep a watchful eye on baby in the back position or move him/her to the front when there's a poop in the pants!
Good luck then in the raffle-copter Derek! Remember to keep voting every day for a greater chance to win it.
That canopy is actually really great too! It's not 'fixed' like some strollers, so you can adjust it nearly 180 degrees and block the sun from the front or back. It's easy to remove as well. Bonus!
Me too! I was surprised how much time it saves getting Ollie in and out! You just pop a tab on the side of the tray and it rotates out of the way for easy access. No more struggling to squeeze his legs and feet past the tray.
love the Covered parent tray with 2-cup holders - because parents have to eat and drink too!
I love the standing feature!
Spot on! It's a sleek looking flat one too that has a nice SNAP lock and is the perfect width for an Iphone. The drink holders are the best I've used so far...they take the large water bottles and if you pop a beer koozie/coozi/cozy over a bottle or can then you have an awesome snug fit! Woo Hoo!
5-point child restraint safety harness is my fav feature
I like that a car seat can fit in either the front or back position.
This would be perfect for my good friend who is about to pop at any moment. She needs a good stroller instead of a cheap one from Ross.
The 5 point harness =)
I like that it has a removeable shade canopy and you can close it up with one hand. Thats what they all say...we shall see if I win. :)
I love the large storage basket!
I love the standing feature
My favorite feature is An older child can sit or stand in the rear / sit comfortably in the front position
(d schmidt in widget)
I love that it accommodates a car seat!

My favorite feature is the removable child tray as well as the removable shade canopy!
I like it can hold a car seat and the foot activated brake are my two favorite features looks like an awesome stroller. Thanks for the chance to win.
I love that it fits a car seat
I like that you can put the carseat in the front or back seat
The foot activated rear break!
I love that the rear seat goes up to 50 pounds- my child will be 6 years old when baby sister arrives, but because of his Autism diagnosis and tendency to run off, we will need a stroller he can use as well for safety reason...many other similar strollers I've found only go up to 40 pounds...he's 38 pounds!!
I love the large basket in the bottom and how easily it folds.
I like the one hand fold.
I like that an older child can sit in the back.
now me and my best friend can take our child out in same stroller when we go for walks
drea8685 at yahoo dot com
I love that I can take my 2 & 4 y.o. out for a walk and my 4 y.o. can hop on the platform or sit on the backseat if he gets tired.
I love the price range! Affordable!
An older child can sit or stand in the rear / sit comfortably in the front position
Ollie looks like he likes it!
HE LOVES IT! He and FTD stroll around town in it. Ollie loves to sit, stand, get off then climb back on. It really has been wonderful having it... it gets the two of them out of my hair!
The 50 pounds is wonderful! and the price is unbeatable.
The large basket :)
I love that the sit and stand can hold an infant car seat and that the older child can sit in either the front or back of the stroller :)
i love that it lasts for 2 kids through every stage! perfect for when they're about 2 years apart like mine will be!
I love that the stroller "grows" with your child. And the cup holder is big plus :)
doan b
i like all the cup holders since we always run out of room there!
I love the One hand fold

I love how you are able to put an infant carrier on the front or back! i am pregnant with my second right now, and this could come in very handy!!
I am pregnant with my second child, and the ability to put the infant carrier on the front or back would be very handy!! Nice stroller!!
I LOVE that an infant seat can be used with it!
serenityspeaks at ymail dot com
I am pregnant with my second now and first son is 2.5 but still loves to ride in the stroller. This would be great.
I love the removeable tray and the cup holders. But I also love that the sit and stand accomodates 2 kids!
Lolli S
The large storage basket and cup holders are key!
Cup holders are definitely important for babes on the go!
I love the versatility of the front tray for the babe. I also like that way my toddler can be in front or back and I can back face the young one in his carrier. Thank you for the opportunity!
I like that you can use a car seat with it.
I like that it will take a car seat in either the front or back position and it accepts alot of different brands of carseats :)
It fits different brands of car seats.

I love that an older child can sit in either the front of the stroller or the back- With a second baby on the way this feature would be very handy!
I like that your older child can sit or stand on the rear of the stroller.
My favorite feature is the cup holders. I love that there are two-- either 1 one for mama and 1 for dad, or 1 for mama and 1 for baby. :-)
This would be perfect for my friend with four kids, two of them would be taken care of!
I love the storage basket
Lrge Storage bsket
This may sound weird but my fav things are the storage basket and the cup holders. I tend to travel w everything but the kitchen sink and I usually end up just pushing a stroller around in the store and trying to stuff everything into it rather than pulling a cart around - this would be awesome!
My favorite thing is that the baby trend car seat I have locks into place. Also having a toddler and a newborn, It gives plenty of options for the two to ride.
Would be very nice to have with a 2 year old and 5 month old.
I love that this can easily adapt to 2 children that are at different age ranges completely (like a baby in a car seat and a toddler) or 2 children at the same age (like 2 toddlers). It is so adaptable to almost any family set up and obviously their safety measure are great - 5 point harness is a MUST!
I love how adaptable it is to a family that has children close in age (like 2 toddlers) or children with a larger age gap (a baby in a car seat and a toddler). I also LOVE all their safety measures, like the 5 point harness
I like it because it will hold 2 kids! My daughter-in-law would love it!
I love that I can go for a walk with all three of my children knowing that the youngest two are safely secured in the stroller, giving me peace of mind. I also love the versatility, allowing my curious 2 year old to sit or stand :)
I like that the car seat can go in the front or the back
I really like everything about it. Perfect when you have two children.
I love that my 5 year old can stand if he needs a breather!
The fact that this stroller will work with a new baby and a toddler is the best!
I love that it has five cup holders I have four kids they are 8,7, and 2 1/2 year old twins so this would be great. Everyone including dad would have a spot for their drinks and I would only have to worry about carrying mine.
Five pt restraint is safe
Allison.bahr@yahoo.com
I love being able to put the car seat in the front or back position
I like the fact that it has a place for a child to sit or stand, it's almost as good as a double stroller if you have an older child that can stand.
Well, I just love that my preschooler could stand and my baby could ride. It wold also allow for my preschooler to easily get off and on. which he would like!
I like that it fits an infant seat and room for your older child.
I LOVE that it is perfect for a toddler/big kid AND a new baby. Baby #2 is due in Dec and my toddler will be 2. Perfect...she can sit in the front for about another year until baby outgrows the infant seat and then they can trade and she can stand on the back! Daddy will love that it can hold his beer ;)
I am preggo with #2 and they will have a 4 year age gap. I love that this stroller is accommodating for a bigger child to stand in the back.
I love that use can use it if you have an older child and they could sit or stand in the back.
I have four girls 8,7 , and 2 1/2 year old twins! I love the fact it has five cup holders it would hold everyone's drinks (dads too) and I would only have to worry about carrying my own.
My favorite part is that you can put the carseat in the front or back
My favorite part is that it fits a car seat in cast we have another baby.
Thanks!
Jayme H.
the cup holder is a plus since many strollers make you buy that as an add on
I like that even though there are 2 seats, there's still a good sized basket underneath!
I like that my older child can sit or stand in the rear. I think she will enjoy being able to stand if her legs are getting a little tired from walking. Also I like the one hand fold. With a toddler and a newborn the easier the better. Thanks for the chance.
I love that the car seat can go either place.
This might sound selfish, but I LOVE that it comes with a LARGE storage basket!!! It seems that I have to LUG around a TON of stuff whenever we go anywhere!!!!
I like the 2 kid capacity!
An older child can sit or stand in the rear / sit comfortably in the front position
An older child can sit or stand in the rear Bc My 3 year old get tired of walking sometimes
I love that you can use this for 2 children. It's so much easier then trying to carry a crying toddler while pushing a baby stroller for the little one!
Just found out we are expecting #2. I could really use this stroller! It's exactly what we have been researching and looking for!
We just found out we are expecting #2! We could really use this stroller! It's exactly what we have been researching and looking for!
I love that you can choose to put the car seat in the front or back
