- He is
so aware of the world around him!
He knows his name and his home. He knows his routine and toys. He is brilliant!
- He sat
up all by himself for the first time yesterday. He can hold his body weight up with his hands, then
pushes off to sit alone, then forward to hands. I’m so proud of him.
- We
have our nighttime routine down. Solid food, bath or wipe down, baby
lotion (California Baby Calming lotion), then nurse and bed. For a month now he has gone right
down with this routine.
- He
positively hates lying on his back for more than 5 minutes. He prefers to sit up in his swing
with the tray over him filled with toys and teethers.
- He
poops every other day.
- He
only eats solids once a day, for dinner. I am going to try to keep it like that until he is 6
months old.
- His
coos have gone to goo-gaaas and oh-yeahs. I love making words up from the partial sounds he puts
together.
- Still
no regular rolling over.
- When
he does roll over he can pull one hand out to prop up, but still has
trouble pulling the other out.
- He
crawls backwards, scoots I should say.
- He is
still exclusively breastfed and can empty one breast in five minutes. It makes nursing easy, cheap and
bottle free. All of the pain and
bullshit the first three months trying to master the art breastfeeding was
so worth it.
- HE is
a VERY smiley baby.
- If he
is up more than 2 ½ hours then he gets cranky. Still my little baby needing plenty of naps.
- He
sleeps normally for 4-5 hour stretches at night. The 8 hours stretches are once in a while still.
- Gas
still plagues him, very sad.
- He is
teething away and refuses to use any of the proper teething toys I have
bought for him. He shoves everything in his mouth except those. He especially loves the plastic
“links” that come in all different textures.
- He is
too fat for the Bumbo seat.
He got stuck in it last time, and that was the end of Bumbo.
- He has
nearly outgrown his infant seat.
We are trying to hold off until 6 months before buying him his new
big boy “convertible” car seat.
- He is
just a big chunk of squishy cuddly baby. With “tree trunks” for legs
according to my family and friends.
- He is
the most wonderful, easygoing, happy baby. Our family is truly blessed.

We're teething on this end as well. Have you tried baltic amber necklaces? Some swear by it so we're starting to test it out. Also, there are these homeopathic drops called "Camilia" that you can buy at most drug stores without a prescription. Baby L tends to fuss less after she takes it. No side effects since it's homeopathic and not a medicated liquid.
Ooh new layout! I like it :-)
Interesting to read Oliver has already outgrown his Bumbo - I don't think we'll worry about buying one now, so thanks for saving us the money!
Buwahaha! Yep on the Bumbo too- luckily ours was a hand-me-down, but didn't get much use out of it. So proud of Ollie and all his accomplishments! Wow! I'm jealous- but trying to keep in perspective the adjusted age stuff. And what is this poop thing? My nephew is an every other day'er too- Chase is more like 3-5 times a day. Hmmm. LOL... these little monsters- the sons become our sun- our worlds revolve around them :)
Yay Oliver! So happy for him and all the milestones he's reached. What an awesome baby! I ended up getting the Prince Lionheart Bebepod because the reviews said it was better for chunkier babies - my 5.5 month old has some major thunder thighs. It comes with a tray and removeable toy that my baby LOVES to gnaw on bc he's teething as well. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=prince+lionheart+flex+bebepod
P.S. LOVE the new layout!!!
Kiwi mum uses the Amber necklace too. My problem is that you are in Canada and Kiwi Mum is in New Zealand and I am stuck in the mainstream states! So far I have not been able to find the Life Factory teether you were talking about, the amber necklace Kiwi Mum told me about and now I am going to go in search of thr Camilia drops! I let you know how it goes... lol
Ollie was snug in the Bumbo by around 4 months or 16 pounds. But, again he has tree trunks for legs.
Thank you! I'm super proud. Yeah, the pooping thing is scary becuse on the second day when it comes, it is loud and proud.
oooh I love that... "the son becomes our sun."
Hiya Esther! Thank you so much for that link! I am going to get it! Oliver loves sitting up so much that I really need something for him to be able to sit up in, and I need to feel secure that he is not going to fall over on his head if I look away.
I'm glad you like the layout. With Tired of Being Pregnant I was quick to design it, and happy with the look from the begining. With this one, I just could not ever get it the way I want it. I still don't love the look, but I thik the layout is just right. And with your vote and Kiwi mum's I'm sure of it! Thank you!
Regarding #15 on your list, have you tried the Windi? It's made by the same makers as the Nosefrida which is the best product I've ever invested in. I bought the Windi but haven't used it yet. It's gotten some great reviews!!!

I just checked it out. First of all the packaging is hysterical!! Secondly, thank you. I'm seriously considering it. I would love for Ollie to be gas free and sleep well. Thanks!
OMG! I love that he is too fat for his bumbo! Good job mama!
William also hates being on his back now, or bouncy chair. He wants to be up looking at everybody!
He also does not roll over regularly.
