On a Personal Note...

Hiya everyone!

I just wanted to take a moment to to talk about the crazy insane amount of product reviews/giveaways, changes to format and wild over blogging that has been going on.  I say this all of the time, but I am not a professional blogger, I really have no idea what I am doing.   Remember, I started blogging because I wanted to punch a know-it-all forum biotch in her big know-it-all mouth.  I never EVER expected to be here over a year later with so many followers and great friends! I am trying to find my groove, or format. All I have for sure is my voice, however loud and filthy it may be.

As for the the insane amount of reviews lately...I try to be selective and not just review any product. Trust me, recently I was asked to review some sort of sanitary toilet seat spray. The makers thought my pregnancy site readers would benefit from it.  I had to pass... no woman is carrying around an aerosol can of shitter spray!  Anyways, I am going to be even more selective, only posting at the most, one review/giveaway a week.

The other few days will be spent going back to my roots for a little while, talking about Oliver and our trials as a new parents, and tips and tricks we have learned along the way.  FTD is going to start posting again as well.

Thank you to those of you who have stuck with us while we stumble through trying to figure out what it means to be a "blogger."  I still really do not have a clue, and I sometimes worry about being offensive or crossing the mommy blogger line. Sometimes I think, "Oh screw being a Mommy Blogger, I need a new blog called "Foul Mouthed Southern Belle."   But then I tell myself, new name or not, I will still talk about my son 90% of the time, because he is 100% my life right now.

Anyways, I'm trying to figure it all out, and get some cool stuff for me and you in the process.  Any tips, suggestions, likes or dislikes from you about my blog, format or posts would be greatly appreciated.  I want my blog to be the best damn blog.  Go big or Go Home.

I really hope the posts I have planned for next week you will enjoy as much as I do... I've got the voice, hopefully sooner than later I will have the format too!

Oh and a HUGE thank you for voting for me on Top Mommy Blogs!  I am in the top 25 and holding strong. Every day they wipe out so many votes it makes me sick. So thank you all so much for keeping me in the top 25 by voting daily. I am still so humbled by it all.  A year ago today I was bitching about my swollen feet, tiny bladder, constipation and hate for humans in general, never in my dreams did I think I would be a Top Mommy anything!  Thank you so much for getting me here.

Loads of love,

April

PS.  I talked about posting Halloween pix of my family.  Our Halloween was crazy and in the end we didn't get to take many good photos.  But a promise is a promise, so here you go....

Yes, that is FTD in half Storm Trooper gear.
We were running so far behind I didn't have time to dress
before FTD took off with Oliver and my nephews.

FTD took Ollie out to a few houses
and then brought him back to me.
It was too cold for our Yoda.
Yes, those are buns I am wearing.

While my sister and I were handing out candy,
Ollie was in the door making people laugh.

His green Yoda Light sabre.

I know, AWESOME!

Lol, cute photos! FTD's costume cracks me up, what a legend ;-)
I got no suggestions for ya though sorry, just keep on being you and being honest - I countdown to your hilarity every day! (although my stupid internet connection doesn't seem to like me commenting on your posts - it blocks them at least every second day!)

Thanks Shay. That comment blocking is a major issue with Blogger. I am going to change platforms because its so frustrating. I have list readers over their frustration with that.

I say being able to capitalize on the daily chats you would have with friends anyway- and help people out in the process- awesome as always!!! :)

That really sucks :-(
I still read your blog religiously, but it does get a tad annoying not being able to reply (cause let's be honest here, I've always got something to say :-P). I won't disappear though!

You are the best. I have people tell me they don;t een bother to comment anymore becuse of it. I will move to wordpress if Blogger doesn't sort it out soon.
