Gardening. July 2017. Warm. Sunny. Peaceful.
Knees firmly planted in the ground, wafts of gardenia filled the air mixed with freesia and honeysuckle. I was in my happy place. A scene from a movie flashed through my mind. Except, I've never seen the movie.
For weeks, the scene nagged me. I saw things I needed to explore, understand. I sat down to write. After many hours of research, writing and editing, that small scene turned into, The Devlyn Disguise.
I owe a huge debt of gratitude to #NaNoWriMo2017 for giving me the kick in the ass I needed to finish. I immensely enjoyed the writing process. I also realized that I might secretly be a psychopath.
