A Page From the Domestic Goddess Handbook.

According to the Urban Dictionary a Domestic Goddess is defined as:

1.  A female who excels at Baking, Cooking and Cleaning-Housework of all sorts. She loves to please and enjoys hearing compliments about her awesomeness around the house/kitchen. She may sew, knit, and have domestic hobbies that come out well. She doesn't have to have children to be considered a domestic goddess.
2. Home all day and doing a great job of cooking, cleaning and child rearing.

Um... yeah so... I am not a domestic goddess.  I am slightly domestic yes, and most definitely a former Goddess before becoming a mother, but no freaking way can I be classified as a "A female who excels at baking, cooking, cleaning-housework of all sorts."  Hell, I am not even able to claim that I excel at one of those things.

At first I thought that my lack of natural "Domestic" abilities keeps me from being a Domestic Goddess, but then I realized, no it's my life and toddler that get in the way!  I just do not have the time to bake, cook, or do cleaning (housework of all types) on a daily basis! And if I did have the time, and spent it doing those things all day every day then that would SUCK!

Then I thought, maybe there is a secret.  There my be a method to the Domestic Goddess madness to make her love doing housework, or at least look good doing it? So I have started searching for answers, clues to how this could be possible. My friends I think I have found clue number one... a page from the Domestic Goddess Handbook if you will.

I found a page on how to clean your house quickly and efficiently.  I tried it last weekend and it worked!  The whole place was spotless in no time.... OK it did take sometime, but not the usual couple of hours it takes for a full clean. In fact, I would say it took half the time because I stayed on track!

This page made me realize I have an issue with getting side tracked-- I start doing something, get side tracked on doing something else, then forget what I was doing in the first place. Next thing I know I have a pile of tasks that are only half finished.  Then I run around and half-ass the other half of the task since I am out of time... not to mention I know FTD and Ollie will be home soon to wreck the joint.

Anyways, here is the page, I hope it helps you like it helped me!

Email me, or check out our Facebook Fan Page for a downloadable copy!

Don't worry, I am on the search for clues on how to become this Domestic Goddess person and more pages from the handbook... Do you have any tips for  the aspiring Domestic Goddess?

Happy Friday My Friends!!
