It's time to talk Baby Time!! a.k.a One of my favorite lines of skin care!

This week's product review (& giveaway) is about one of my very favorite baby skin care companies.

For starters, BABY TIME! By Episencial makes a product that our family has been using since the first month of Oliver's life, and has learned the hard way, we cannot live (happily) without it.  More to the point, the Nurturing Balm has been on Ollie's bottom since his first hint of diaper rash. And to this day, NO product has come close to its healing ability. Imagine then how I jumped at the opportunity to find out if all of the other Baby Time products were just as incredible...

Before I get to our review, let me give you a little more back ground on this super green, mom created line of skin care...

Episencial was founded by Kim Walls, M.S., a second-generation skin care expert from the Epicuren family, who couldn’t find skin care products for her babies that met her professional standards for quality and care for the environment – so, she created her own with the help of several moms and dads.
What makes Episencial's Baby Time Products Extra Special...
Now for our review...

FTM&D was sent the Baby Time! Playful Wash, Snuggly Lotion & Nurturing Balm to test out...

The Playful Wash is just what I hoped it would be, perfect for Ollie's sensitive baby/toddler skin. The consistency of the liquid soap was clear and light, letting me know that only the necessary ingredients were used. Oh and I loved the delicious tangerine sent!  Since FTD gives 95% of the baths, he wants to add, "They were spot on calling it Playful Wash! When the babbles begin to go away mid bubble-bath, it only takes a few swishes of the water to get the bubbles back."  FTD says no other wash he has used makes as many bubbles, nor do they ever "re-bubble" like the Playful Wash does. Oh, and Ollie loves slapping at the bubbles too!

The Snuggly Lotion also has a nice light cherry sent, and a wonderful creamy consistency.  This lotion is far from greasy, and massages right in.  I must admit, I put an extra dab on my hands after I'm finished putting the lotion on Ollie. Whaaaa? I do not own a lotion with so many wonderful natural ingredients!  Sorry kid... Momma is stealing your lotion!

The Nurturing Balm- a.k.a The Baby Butt Paste GOLD!  You all, I just cannot say enough good things about the Nurturing Balm!  I received my first tube of it at my baby shower from a been-there-done-that-mom who swore by it. When Ollie got his first sign of diaper rash I dabbed a little on, and by the next diaper change the rash was noticeably better.  By the next day the rash had cleared up.  When I squeezed the last drop of the Nurturing Balm out, I moved on to other samples and tubes of butt pastes I had lying around... NONE of them came close!  NONE! Needless to say, we are devoted to this gold baby booty goodness.

Another really important aspect of this product is that it is all-natural, using Olive Oil, Calendula and aloe in addition to the standard Zinc. From my heart I cannot recommend this product enough!

It's clear we love everything about The Episencial Company, their standards and drive for green production are amazing, and the skin care products are free of harmful chemicals and fillers. Easily Baby Time has the FTM&D Seal of loving approval!

First Time Mom & Dad was provided with the 3-step skin care products free of charge, by the Episencial Company with the hopes that we would try the products and write about our experience on this website.  All of the opinions and views expressed in this review are true and our own.

  1. Love this product as well! You know how they say Johnson and Johnson's baby products are the hospital brand of choice and sooooo gentle? Well, Summer breaks out in a rash or has flares of psoraisis whenever we have used it. Since then I am super cautious of every thing I put on her skin.

    1. The number of chemicals in some baby washes are shocking. I never buy anything for Ollie without reading the label first.
