The first product/service review (and awesome giveaway) of 2013, is something that is very near and dear to my heart, Mightee Kids, and organization that helps children throughout the world. Mightee Kids is a monthly subscription company that specializes in highlighting a different children's cause/charity each month.
The Mission of Mightee Kids:
We want to inspire kids to love others who are less fortunate. We want them to act on what they learn. We feel that this genuine care for others starts at home, taught by parents who also know how to love and care for others. Our packages are meant to provide an experience in which parents can sit down and teach their kids of how other kids need their help. We want to not only help them donate to others, but we want to guide them to continue to keep giving and loving for their unfortunate friends.
We want to develop Mightee Kids that help others, one tee at a time.
So how does all of this work, and where do you come in? First, you subscribe to the Mightee Kids program for less than $20 a month. ($5 from every tee sold goes directly to the charity of the month!) Second, you receive a package in the mail each month with a super cool fitted t-shirt for your little one, with an informational card outlining the chosen charity of the month.
For Example:
The Cause this month (January 2013) is an organization called Smile Train. Smile Train is focused on helping to provide much needed medical attention to children with cleft lip and cleft palate. Smile Train provides much needed surgeries to children who would not otherwise have the opportunity. This month's theme is called, "Say Cheese," because thanks to Smile Train, the children they help will now have the confidence to, Say Cheese!

Bottom Line: Mightee Kids organization makes it super simple for your family to help a child in need through your monthly subscription, helps you to have an open dialogue with your child about a different charity each month AND gives you a great (high quality) T-shirt too!

ReplyDeleteThis is a very, very cool project and organization. I am definitely looking into doing this with Kaely- and sharing with her class. I'm glad you're able to discover these types of products that teach our children lessons too often overlooked.

We believe the value of teaching a child help another child is priceless and necessary in the society we live in today. Plus we love donating to our favorite causes and the causes that also lie close to our fans' hearts!!
